An Evening of Compassion

January 27, 2026

On January 27, Hope for Animals Foundation hosted its inaugural fundraising event, An Evening of Compassion, welcoming more than 200 philanthropists, business leaders and community supporters to Toku Modern Asian in Aventura, Florida. The evening honored the Steven & Lauren Geduld Family Foundation for their philanthropic leadership and commitment to community impact.

Led by president Dana Richards and vice president Estee Dvora, Hope for Animals Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The organization supports urgent veterinary care, rescue partnerships, spay and neuter initiatives, behavioral rehabilitation, and youth education helping animals and the families who care for them throughout South Florida.

Captured by World Red Eye, the evening welcomed guests including Golden Beach residents Lauren and Steven Geduld, Ken Bernstein, Leigh Benayoun, Lina Guerrero, and Sam Elenson, along with Connor Olness, Chi Chi and Amanda Saez, Adam Sosnick and Bella Logins, among other notable supporters. Sponsors included Malka Katzav, owner of Big Drop NYC, and artist Denis Leon, who donated an original art piece. Additional partners included Invicta Stores, Aventura Mall, 1 Hotel South Beach and JW Marriott Turnberry Resort & Spa. Shiri Sarfati, executive vice president of Repêchage, also contributed premium skin care to the evening’s curated swag bags.

A highlight of the night was the debut of Tucker, a dog once deemed “unadoptable.” After rehabilitation with Aventura-based trainer Sofia of Dandy Dog Training, Tucker is now fully trained and ready for adoption, a powerful reminder of the foundation’s mission to give animals a second chance.

With growing community support and philanthropic partnerships, Hope for Animals Foundation continues expanding its impact across South Florida, helping animals in need while supporting the families and community members who advocate for them.
