Experience world-class live music in an intimate setting at the Paul JAS Center, Jazz Aspen Snowmass’ new permanent home in the heart of downtown Aspen at 422 E. Cooper Ave. The JAS Café Summer Series welcomes acclaimed artists from around the world to one of Aspen’s premier listening rooms, where every seat offers an up-close concert experience.
Most evenings feature 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. performances, giving guests the flexibility to enjoy dinner before the show or make a full evening of it. A curated menu of small plates and snacks, handcrafted cocktails, wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverages is available throughout the night. The season also includes special Café experiences, from intimate brunches to Supper Club events pairing exceptional music with memorable dining.
This summer’s lineup spans an eclectic mix of artists and musical styles, from the soaring vocals of Veronica Swift with the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra to the timeless style of jazz trumpeter and vocalist Benny Benack III and rising blues guitarist D.K. Harrell. New Orleans legend George Porter Jr. & the Runnin’ Pardners bring deep funk and groove, while pianist Shelly Berg and vocalist Ashley Pezzotti celebrate the Great American Songbook. Randy Brecker blends Grammy Award-winning jazz with Brazilian rhythms, and the JAS Academy Afro-Caribbean Band, led by renowned trumpeter Etienne Charles, shines a spotlight on the next generation of musicians. The series also features Afrobeat powerhouse Antibalas, the gypsy jazz virtuosity of the Django Festival Allstars, the soulful Goldings Bernstein Stewart Organ Trio, the high-energy King Cabbage Brass Band, and the farewell tour of the acclaimed vocal ensemble New York Voices.
