The JAS June Experience returns June 25-28, transforming downtown Aspen into a four-day celebration of live music unlike any other festival experience. With one pass providing access to performances across 10 venues, audiences can create their own musical journey while enjoying 17 artists spanning jazz, blues, funk, soul, world music and more.
This year also marks the first JAS June Experience with the newly opened Paul JAS Center serving as the festival’s home base. Located in the historic Red Onion building in downtown Aspen, the Paul JAS Center anchors the weekend with performances and serves as a central gathering place for audiences exploring the festival. The addition of JAS’s permanent home strengthens the connection between the June Experience and Aspen’s vibrant arts community.
Festivalgoers move through Aspen’s walkable downtown, catching multiple performances each night in intimate settings ranging from historic theaters and music clubs to unique cultural spaces. The format encourages discovery, allowing audiences to experience a variety of artists and musical styles throughout the weekend.
This year’s lineup is led by the high-energy grooves of Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, the iconic funk and soul of The Family Stone, and Grammy-winning keyboard powerhouse Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles. The weekend also features acclaimed artists including Christian McBride, Lizz Wright, Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan, Anat Cohen Quartetinho, Acoustic Alchemy, Diego Figueiredo and Chiara Izzi, Vincen García, Tony Monaco, and more.
Whether you arrive with a carefully planned schedule or prefer to follow the music from venue to venue, the JAS June Experience offers countless opportunities for discovery. Set against the backdrop of Aspen in early summer, the festival combines exceptional music, intimate venues and a uniquely walkable format, creating one of the most distinctive music experiences in the country.
