Restoration Hardware Baby & Child invites little princes and princesses for afternoon tea.

By Gabrielle Echevarrieta

Restoration Hardware’s NYC palace, a six-story marvel showcasing the brand’s iconic vision, has become a new hub for some tea time fun. Author Athena Calderone, Candice Miller of Mama & Tata, Alexandra Toccin of Stylist to a T and other fashion notables and their children gathered to celebrate the RH Baby & Child Fall 2019 collection on December 3. Little ones kick-started the next generation of design with DIY crafting corners for patchwork baseball caps and custom flower crowns by FLWR Studio. Illustrator Anouk Colantoni put on a live watercolor show, complete with take-home pieces for guests. Finger-foods from Little Gem, like delicate tea sandwiches, lemon pavlovas and funfetti cake truffles complimented the spread of gourmet British and Japanese imported teas.

The tea party’s style perfectly coincides with the imaginative aesthetic of RH Baby & Child’s newest line, rolled out just in time for the holidays. The eclectic assortment of furniture, lighting and textiles draw inspiration from iconic design movements: the Leonie crib’s intricate floral carvings are a nod to Rococo, and the art deco feel of the Teagan upholstered platform bed is perfect for a teen’s room.
