An Evening With Giants

July 19, 2023

Space for Giants’ Philanthropic Host Committee, including chairs Craig Caukin and Chelsea Congdon, and Todd Goergen, Amy Green, Margot Hampleman, Shelley Litvack, Ashley Marie Wyndham, Sally Ranney, Warren Stickney and Sheila Walker, held An Evening With Giants, a fundraiser benefiting Space for Giants. Executive director Martha Cochran and U.S. philanthropy director Rebecca Mirsky were present to speak individually with donors. Maurice Schutgens, director of conservation at Space for Giants, gave a passionate overview of the group’s successful conservation work in Africa, accompanied by a beautiful slide presentation.

Afterward, the audience was captivated by a special performance by DanceAspen at sunset on the Aspen Art Museum rooftop. Organic locally sourced light bites were created and served by Tiffany Pineda and staff from The Farmer & Chef.

Space for Giants is a conservation nongovernmental organization working across Africa to protect the continent’s natural ecosystems and biodiversity that is fundamental to mitigating climate change. The NGO hopes to unlock the full value of nature by protecting biodiversity and the remaining populations of megafauna, while expanding economic, cultural and social value for those living alongside and national governments for generations to come. spaceforgiants.org
