Purist welcomed in the 41st annual Food & Wine Classic to Aspen, the unofficial kickoff to summer, with a weekend of premier epicurean adventures.
An afternoon stroll to events around town began with a reception at the Arhaus Studio in Aspen, then on to a sunset opening of Aspen Swedish Hill restaurant, on the rooftop of the Aspen Art Museum. Restaurateur Raphael Derly hosted friends for caviar and wine tasting at his newest epicurean creation, in the Here House space, set to open soon.
Prospect in Aspen hosted a Luminarias Dinner, with a menu by chefs David Castro Hussong from Fauna, Javier Plascencia from Animalon, Jose Luis Hinostroza from Arca and Erasmo Casiano from Lucina, paired with reserve wines selected by Wero Cham of Vinos Boutique.
Guests strolled through the interior walkway to see Jody Guralnick’s captivating live mural adjacent to Prospect, which highlights the Valley’s indigenous blooms. At the Grand Tasting Food & Wine Tent, guests enjoyed a glass of Ode to Soul red blend wine with Carmelo Anthony and his business partner, Asani Swann.
