As summer begins, the Southampton Arts Center becomes a hub of art and culture with a variety of events and exhibitions that embody community and creativity, designed to captivate visitors of all ages.

One of the highlights of the summer is “Whimsy Motown Magic,” scheduled for June 29. This enchanting evening is more than just a dance party; it’s a vibrant celebration of the enduring spirit of Motown music. Attendees are invited to groove to the timeless hits performed by talented musicians, creating a night of nostalgic rhythms and unforgettable fun.

On July 12, SAC is set to host the internationally acclaimed show Celebrity Autobiography with a dynamic cast that includes Christie Brinkley, Richard Kind, Eugene Pack, Susan Lucci, Alan Zweibel, John Slattery, Talia Balsam, Tate Donovan and Dayle Reyfel. Created by Emmy nominee Pack and developed with Drama Desk award winner Reyfel, this unique comedy event brings to life the most outrageous and true celebrity memoir excerpts acted out verbatim by other stars.

From July 27 to September 14, explore Couples Squared, an exhibition that delves into the dynamic intersections of romantic and creative partnerships, featuring a diverse array of art forms that reflect their unique collaborative processes.

In addition, SAC hosts its annual SummerFest on August 17—a premier gala event known for its blend of fine dining, live performances and art showcases. This event serves as a significant fundraiser for SAC and also as a grand celebration of the arts. Adding to the summer’s entertainment, the renowned Melissa Errico is scheduled to perform on Sunday, September 1, during the Labor Day weekend.

SAC’s commitment to fostering artistic dialogue is evident in its dynamic exhibitions. Beyond the Streets: Post Graffiti is one such exhibition, open through July 20, which explores the evolution of graffiti from underground scribbles to mainstream artform.

For families and young visitors, Kids: Ramblin’ Dan’s Freewheelin’ Band promises a lively and interactive musical experience, where children can explore sounds and rhythms, while parents enjoy a relaxed, community-oriented atmosphere.

As SAC continues to evolve, it remains dedicated to its mission of building community through the arts. Each event, workshop and exhibition is thoughtfully curated to foster connections, spark conversations and celebrate the diverse cultural landscape of New York’s East End.

Experience the power of the arts in creating meaningful and joyous community interactions. Whether you’re a local resident or a summer visitor, SAC’s lineup promises a season filled with discovery, inspiration, and above all, fun.
