Southampton Village welcomes fall with the return of Southamptonfest, its annual celebration of community, culture and the East End, now in its 14th year. Presented by Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, the festivities begin Friday, October 2, with the Southampton Rotary Club Kickoff Party before the main event fills the village on Saturday, October 3.
Throughout the day, visitors can wander between live music, art, local shopping and seasonal food, alongside longtime festival favorites like the Chowder Contest, a petting zoo, children’s activities and offerings from Southampton restaurants and vendors. At 4PM, Bella V. takes the stage for a live musical performance, bringing a homegrown voice to an afternoon celebrating the creative spirit of the community.
Southampton’s cultural institutions and nonprofits will also join in, from the Southampton Arts Center and Southampton History Museum to the Peter Marino Art Foundation and Rogers Memorial Library. A portion of festival proceeds will go toward restoring the historic World War I Memorial in Agawam Park.
Southamptonfest takes place Saturday, October 3, throughout Southampton Village. Rain date: Sunday, October 4.
