For Purist Special Projects Editor T.R. Pescod, who designed the first Purist Pop-Up in L.A., a little bit of California dreamin’ went a long way to creating one of his trademark clean, minimal, elegant (but never sleepy) interiors. “I was inspired by the beach and the sunny disposition of Los Angeles to create a bright, open space with a neutral palate and natural elements,” says Pescod, a native of the Hamptons, New York, and president of his own concept-to-construction design firm, TRP Design. “The use of raw wood and concrete injected with pops of color highlight the uniqueness of each wellness and luxury brand represented, allowing our participants and their products to shine.”
Based in Manhattan and Southampton, Pescod, who juggles design work with acting and modeling gigs (you can see him in the latest campaign for One Kings Lane) enjoyed his West Coast Pop-Up project: “I loved having such a large, raw, beautiful blank space within which I could create.” trp-design.com
