SoulCycle has invited Tribeca mainstay Taryn Toomey to open a new studio in The Barn, its Bridgehampton location. Toomey has been a SoulCycle fan for years, and SoulCycle instructors frequent The Class by Taryn Toomey, a yoga-boot camp hybrid, so the partnership was a natural fit.
Like Toomey’s Tribeca flagship, her first Hamptons studio, which offers daily classes, is a sensory experience that sets the tone for the mind-body workout. “Each space is designed with the specific location in mind, and in this case, it’s the warmth of the beach, a feeling meant to be serene and light,” says Toomey. As in Tribeca, the classes are taught by instructors who encourage students to push through any discomfort and resistance.
