Hope for Depression Research Foundation’s Ninth Annual Race of Hope takes place Sunday, August 4, at 8:30AM in Southampton, with SoulCycle’s Stacey Griffith as celebrity grand marshal. Over 500 participants from the tristate area will gather to raise mental health awareness and funds for critical research.
In the run-up to the Race, HDRF celebrates the Week of Hope from July 25 to August 4 in Southampton. Stores villagewide will display a yellow HOPE flag in front of their doors to show their commitment to advancing the conversation around mental health. Revo, an American heritage sunglass brand, will also commemorate the Week of Hope at its NYC Soho location.
On Thursday, August 1, HDRF hosts the Hope Summer Seminar, “How to Stop Procrastinating and Reach Your Full Potential,” at 11AM at the Southampton Arts Center, featuring psychiatrist and motivation expert Dr. Peter Freed. A viewing of Charms of Hope, a jewelry collection by Hamilton Jewelers, precedes the seminar in the SAC lobby. In the afternoon, Veronica Beard hosts a Shop for Hope event, featuring a trunk show with fine jewelry designer Rene Barnes.
To underscore the health benefits of sleep, renowned sleepwear brand KIP also launched in August a special-edition HDRF collection in the foundation’s signature colors of yellow and gray. The bestselling Luxe Stretch Cotton pajama set, along with Pure Cashmere robe and socks and a mulberry silk eye mask are available for preorder now at sleepinkip.com and a percentage of sales from Revo, Veronica Beard and KIP will benefit the HDRF. hopefordepression.org
