On June 6, New York’s Greenwich Hotel courtyard was abuzz with celebrities at the annual Chanel Through Her Lens Women’s Luncheon, co-hosted alongside the Tribeca Festival. The chic, invite-only gathering brought together actresses, filmmakers and cultural icons, all dressed head to toe in Chanel ensembles that ranged from tweeds and denim to bold leather looks.
Actress and singer Miley Cyrus stole the spotlight in a punk-rock, all-black Chanel leather ensemble. The star-studded event featured many other prominent women in creative industries, including Parker Posey, Lucy Liu, Riley Keough, Misty Copeland and many more.
Marking the 10th anniversary of Chanel’s Through Her Lens initiative, the luncheon was not just a fashion event, but a celebration of female voices in film. The event supports emerging female filmmakers and celebrates storytelling while showcasing luxurious daywear worn by creative leaders. The luncheon represents a stylish affirmation of design, diversity and meaningful action in support of women in film.
