Welcome to Wellness at Belmont Park Village

Cycling meets recovery at Bohemian Bier Spa in Glenwood Springs for an afternoon benefiting Best Buddies International.

On Sunday, October 18, movement, conversation and community came together at Belmont Park Village in Elmont, New York, for Welcome to Wellness, a day dedicated to women’s health in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Presented by Purist and Valeria Talve of The Fitizens, the event benefited Northwell’s Center for Women’s Cancer.

Guests joined two energizing SoulCycle rides led by Purist cover star and SoulCycle’s Founding Senior Master Instructor, Stacey Griffith, who brings over 30 years of fitness experience into every room. Known for her signature motivation, Griffith turned each class into a ride for a cause.

The afternoon continued with a Breast Cancer Awareness Conversation, where Purist founder Cristina Cuomo was joined by Dr. Elisa Port and Valeria Talve of The Fitizens. Dr. Port is Chief of Breast Surgery at the Mount Sinai Health System and an expert in personalized breast cancer care, breast cancer prevention and breast health, as well as the author of The Breast Advice, a comprehensive guide to breast cancer risk, diagnosis and treatment.

The gathering marked Belmont Park Village’s first Welcome to Wellness event, bringing together a community united by women’s wellness, connection and giving back. From riding for a cause to meaningful conversation about breast health, every element of the day supported the work of Northwell’s Center for Women’s Cancer.

More programming is on the horizon in Belmont Park Village’s Wellness Warehouse, with future events set to continue commitment to community and well-being.
