Cindy Crawford has always integrated body, mind and her strong spirit of self-care, way before it was stylish to do so.
When Crawford arrived in New York and began her supermodel career, she learned about nutrition and fitness and what works best for her body. She had never really worked out before, but met the famous fitness trainer Radu; together they filmed her hit workout video, Shape Your Body, in the 1990s. For Crawford, the physical and emotional sense of empowerment she gets from working out and taking care of her body remains a solid part of her life and philosophy.
Crawford views exercise as a celebration of what the body can do, not a punishment for what she has eaten. “It’s more about just living the best way I can without being obsessive,” she says. “I also do the obvious things, like avoid too much sun, drink water, exercise, don’t smoke and try to get enough sleep.”
Body care is now part of Crawford’s skin care brand, Meaningful Beauty, too. With the introduction of the 5-Piece Neck & Bodycare System, she now uses the innovative French melon-powered formulas all over. More than moisturizer, these are luxurious and powerful products that can visibly lift and firm skin, like the Firming and Tightening Body Hydration Treatment. Her favorite? The Targeted Hydration Body Stick, which she—and her mom—use on elbows and feet every night before bed.
Crawford also incorporates wellness modalities including saunas, cold plunges and red light therapy (which is why Meaningful Beauty added a red light facial device to the line). She dry-brushes her skin before a shower and sometimes uses a PEMF mat and a BioMat for infrared. She believes strongly in taking care of and accepting yourself. To this day, Crawford exemplifies health and strength, from head to toe.
