Aspen Valley Polo Club at Sunset, Summer at Its Best

Make the most of the final weeks of summer with world-class polo, mountain views and fieldside fun at Aspen Valley Polo Club.

There are few better ways to spend a summer afternoon in the Roaring Fork Valley than fieldside. At Aspen Valley Polo Club in Carbondale, world-class polo comes with a distinctly laid-back mountain setting, bringing together sport, sunshine and a vibrant social scene that has become a favorite part of the summer calendar.

On August 16, 23 and 30, Sunday Beach Club Polo brings a touch of the coast to the mountains. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., guests can settle into the sand-side Beach Club with friends, rosé and charcuterie while some of the world’s top polo players and horses compete just steps away. Beach Club admission is $75 per person, or $125 with rosé and charcuterie, with grandstand seating available for $25.

On Tuesday evenings, Twilight Polo takes over from 6-9:30 p.m. On August 11, 18 and 25, Grab a drink, find a spot by the field and stay as daylight gives way to an evening under the Colorado sky. Twilight Polo admission is $75 per person, $125 with rosé and charcuterie, and $25 for grandstand seating.

With just a few weeks left in the season, consider it an excuse to gather some friends, head to Carbondale and savor one of those only-in-summer evenings in the valley.
