Art En Plein Air at the Summer Drawing Party
Artists, supporters and creative risk-takers alike came together behind easels outdoors at The Bridge on Aug. 29 at the annual Summer Drawing Party to benefit New York Academy of Art. Attendees sipped elegant libations from Casa Dragones as they engaged their creative energies, painting en plein air the exquisitely sculpted models who posed for the crowd. Hosted by Bob Colacello, Eric Fischl, Sheree Hovsepian and Rashid Johnson, and Stéphane Samuel and Robert Rudin, it was a magical night to remember at The Bridge, one of the top golf courses in New York, set on some 300 acres with picturesque views overlooking Sag Harbor.
A Celebration of Hispanics in Art
It was a festive mix of conversation, ideas and culture paired with delicious Latin food and elegant libations at the Parrish Art Museum on Saturday, Aug. 31, as guests gathered for “Hispanics in Art,” celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Attendees savored Casa Dragones blanco, served over ice with an orchid garnish, as they noshed on tacos, took in the current exhibitions and enjoyed spirited conversation.
“As a small batch tequila company, we have been passionate supporters of contemporary art since we launched our sipping tequila,” says Tequila Casa Dragones Co-Founder and CEO Bertha González Nieves. “This summer, we had the pleasure of supporting some of the top art collaborations in the Hamptons, including celebrating Hispanic Heritage at the Parrish Museum in collaboration with We Are All Human, as well as the New York Academy of Arts event at The Bridge Golf Club.”
In collaboration with the We Are All Human foundation, the Parrish kicked things off with a panel discussion led by The New York Times columnist Bret Stephens, Parrish Art Museum executive director Monica Ramirez-Montagut, and We Are All Human’s founder and CEO Claudia Romo Edelman. All in all, a fabulous night of art and culture. Salud! casadragones.com
